10 TPH Corn Flaking Line Successfully Commissioned | Grosper

On Dec. 23, 2025, a 10 TPH corn flaking (steam-flaked corn) production line delivered by Grosper completed its first commissioning trial run in Ningxia, China, based on the customer’s public project update. The run indicated stable operation, with key indicators such as gelatinization performance and flake uniformity meeting the intended targets.

Configured as a 10 t/h industrial line package for continuous operation, the project has progressed through installation, start-up checks, and trial-run verification. Following the commissioning trial, the line has been handed over for customer production use—supporting the customer’s move toward a more integrated model combining storage, processing, and service.

The line covers major steps from cleaning and conditioning to precision flaking and drying. According to the customer’s published process description, corn is steam-conditioned at approximately 85–100°C to promote gelatinization, then formed into uniform flakes around 1–2 mm thickness through the flaking section.

For ruminant feed applications, consistent flake thickness and controlled gelatinization can help reduce ration variability and improve downstream handling—especially when raw material variability is a practical constraint.

What this means for you (industrial buyers):

  • Define commissioning acceptance criteria in measurable terms: flake thickness distribution, fines rate, target gelatinization level, outlet moisture after drying, and the sampling/testing method.

  • Convert “10 TPH” into an operating plan: at continuous 24-hour operation, this equals up to 240 tons/day—then verify whether utilities (steam supply, drying capacity, conveying) can reliably support that duty cycle at your site.

  • Request a wear-parts and maintenance plan up front (rollers, bearings, seals, lubrication points, and a recommended spare list) to forecast OPEX and plan uptime from day one.

If you’re building a new steam-flaked corn line or upgrading an existing one, share your target throughput, available steam/power, and desired flake specification. Grosper can provide a configuration checklist and a commissioning acceptance template aligned with your operating conditions.
